Since July 1, the Clearstream International Depository blocked the correspondent account of Rosbank. Now the bank cannot receive income on securities issued outside of Russia, Frank Media writes.
The decision was made after the imposition of sanctions against the main shareholder of Rosbank Vladimir Potanin.
Vladimir Potanin, the owner of the Interros holding and the largest beneficiary of the MMC Norilsk Nickel, bought Rosbank from the French group Societe Generale leaving the Russian market in May. London imposed sanctions against the businessman on June 29. A month is given to complete transactions with Rosbank.
