Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev and the Vice-President and Chairman of the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization, Masoud Soltanifar, discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of tourism.
Soltanifar said that Iran is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan," the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism said.
"Every year tourist turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran increases and we are considering the matter of joint development of cooperation in this sphere. Within the period of spring holiday Novruz Azerbaijan was visited by about 50,000 Iranians, and we believe this cooperation will serve to the growth of tourism potential," abc.az cited the Iranian Vice-President as saying.
