Iran denies reports on presidential election date

Iran’s Guardian Council has dismissed media reports on the date of the presidential elections in 2017.

Accoring to the council's message, the spokesman of the Guardian Council, Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei, did not reveal any details about the next presidential elections in interviews, IRNA news agency reported.

Earlier, several Iranian media outlets cited Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei that the next round of presidential elections will be held on May 19, 2017.
