Iran wants to participate in the Indian refining sector, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup said following the talks between the Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
"Both sides discussed the energy partnership.The Iranian side stated that it would be happy to participate in the refinery sector in India," RIA Novosti cited Swarup as saying.
On Farzad – B, both sides took note of the constructive discussions held during the recent visit to Iran of MoS PNG [Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas].
"The concerned companies have been directed to complete their contractual negotiations in a time bound manner," he added.
The two sides also reviewed the progress made in the International North-South Transport Corridor.
