Iran receives rights to Yerevan's Blue Mosque

The Armenian government made a decision to transfer the rights to the Blue Mosque, located in Yerevan, to Iran.

The building will be included in Armenia's state list of historical and cultural immovable monuments.

An appropriate treaty for a period of 99 years will be signed with the Iranian Embassy in Armenia. The mosque's building will be used by Iran as a cultural center, Newsarmenia.am reports.

Yerevan's Blue Mosque was built in 1766 by Huseyn Ali Khan Qajar of the Erivan Khanate.
