The government’s tax revenues have grown by 25% in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (started March 20) compared with last year’s corresponding period, the head of National Tax Administration, Kamel Taqavinejad, said.
In the budget bill submitted to parliament earlier this month, the government is projecting that taxes will rise to 1,130 trillion rials ($28.6 billion at market exchange rate) for the upcoming fiscal year, up from this year’s estimated 1,010 trillion rials ($25.6 billion), the Financial Tribune reports.
