Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has once again described the US as a "great Satan" and criticized regional powers that follow the US policies, Trend reports.
"Unfortunately, some Islamic governments betray their fellow nations and lay the ground for the US," Khamenei's official website quoted him as saying in a meeting with participants of a Quran recitation competition in Tehran May 18.
He said some Islamic countries cooperate with the US, which is considered as a serious issue for the Islamic world.
"We should not be weak. We must be strong. Power does not mean only money and weapon. Belief [in God and religion] and resistance are the bases of power," said Khamenei.
