Iran plans to sign a contract with France for the supply of 40 passenger turboprop aircraft of the regional class with the French-Italian company ATR, the Deputy Transport Minister of the Islamic Republic, Asghar faqr Kashan, said.
"The Iranian side has held talks on the issue with Italy and France. In the coming days representatives of the company ATR will arrive in Tehran to prepare the final stage of the transaction. Twenty aircraft will be ordered, and an agreement signed on an option for 20 aircraft,’’ TASS quotes Kashan as saying, referring to AFP.
