The United States must remove all its sanctions against Iran in one step if it seeks to rejoin the Iran nuclear deal, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.
The Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), known as the Iran nuclear deal, resumed talks in Vienna on Tuesday, with lifting sanctions on Iran and nuclear implementation measures at the top of the agenda.
"They (Americans) have left the JCPOA, and they have imposed sanctions. So obviously if they want to come back, they will have to lift all those sanctions, all together, in one step," Araqchi, who led the Iranian delegation in the Vienna talks, told Press TV.
Meanwhile, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi told the commission meeting that lifting U.S. sanctions is the first and most necessary step to revive the 2015 nuclear deal.
