The UAE Foreign Ministry has handed a note of protest to the Ambassador of Iran, Mohamed Reza Fayyad.
The document speaks about "Iranian meddling in the internal affairs" of Saudi Arabia and the attacks on country's diplomatic missions in Tehran and Mashhad.
"These actions are a violation of international laws and norms," RIA Novosti cites the text of the document.
