Iranian Economy Minister Ali Tayyebnia starts an official visit to Japan today. The visit will take place till February 6. The minister will hold a series of meetings in Tokyo, in particular, with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Fumio Kishida.
The government of Japan lifted the sanctions against Iran on January 22 and Iran's first shipments of crude oil departed for Japan in late January.
In October 2015, Fumio Kishida visited Iran to finalize the signing of a bilateral agreement on investment, which provides Japanese companies with the right to participate in the oil and gas sector, the automotive industry, high-speed railways and aviation, RIA Novosti notes.
