Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has said at meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmid that the Western countries should use the principles of realism and consider a more pragmatic approach in order to resolve the Syrian crisis.
During the talks, the parties reaffirmed the principles of territorial integrity of the CAP, and also agreed to develop a joint mechanism for the return of refugees to their homeland.
Helga Schmid drew attention to the necessity for a political method in order to settle the Syrian conflict, Gazeta.ru reports.
