The Iranian Foreign Ministry has not confirmed that the country has agreed to make Pakistan a mediator in resolving its conflict with Saudi Arabia, Sputnik reports, citing a source in the Foreign Ministry of Iran.
"I can only say that the ball is in the Saudis' court, and Tehran is open to relations with all countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia,'' a diplomat said.
According to him, today President of Iran Hassan Rouhani discussed the crisis in relations between Tehran and Riyadh with Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif.
