Yesterday talks were held in Baku between the Ministers of Culture of Azerbaijan and Iran, Abulfaz Garayev and Ali Jannati, during which they reached an agreement on the organization of Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic. This event is intended to strengthen the friendship between the two peoples.
"Iran is ready to hold various cultural events with Azerbaijan, including a week of cinema. The peoples of the two countries have a common religion, language and similar culture, and this will help to ensure that the cultural program will cause a lot of interest," Trend quoted Jannati as saying.
Abulfaz Garayev, in his turn, suggested that Days of Azerbaijani Culture be organized not only in Tehran, but also in Isfahan, Shiraz and Ardebil.
