 Iran’s gas exports to reach 200 mcm/d

Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said that the country is planning to export 200 million cubic meters of gas daily, adding pumping gas to neighbors through pipelines and Iran’s LNG projects are in priority.

He also said Iran’s South Pars Gas Field output would rise to 236 billion cubic meters in this year.

The field is estimated to contain a significant amount of natural gas, accounting for about eight percent of the world’s reserves, and approximately 18 billion barrels of condensate.

He added that gas production from South Pars was 41 billion cubic meters in 2005 and the field's output would reach 400 billion cubic meters in the coming Iranian calendar year.
