The Iraqi border crossing department has fully restored the southern Shalamche passage on the border with Iran, which had been closed earlier due to protests, the Akhbar al-Iraq information portal reports.
On November 16, Baghdad closed the southern Shalamche border crossing with Iran due to protests in both countries. Tehran asked for partial closure: the travel ban concerned only pilgrims, the trade activities were not ceased, RIA Novosti informs.
