Armenia used Iskander missiles against Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh war, a representative of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told Caliber.az.
"Since December 2020, the Agency for Mine Action has been carrying out landmine clearance and explosive ordnance disposal works in the Shusha city liberated from occupation. On March 15, 2021, fragments of two exploded missiles were found by the Agency's employees in the city during an operation to clean up the territories," he said.
An ANAMA spokesman named the coordinates of the place where the parts of exploded missiles were found: 39 ° 45'38.10 "N 46 ° 44'33.90" E and 39 ° 45'27.80 "N 46 ° 45'25.80" E.
The experts checked the missile's identification number (9M723) and revealed that it's the Iskander missile system wreckage. "Even in open Internet resources it may be determined that identification number 9M723 belongs to Iskander missile. All this confirms that Armenia used Iskander missiles against Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War, in particular, to destroy the city of Shusha," the specialist said.
