Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz checked today the works to strengthen the Turkish-Syrian border in the Kilis province. The total length of the border, which is in need of protection, is 911 km, of which 25-kilometer stretch will be enhanced by the middle of 2016.
"By constructing protective walls, fortified by barbed wire, employing drones, cameras and radar systems placed on the balloons, we can ensure the safety of our citizens at the highest level. Today some of these works have been completed. The work will continue. Turkey will do everything possible to protect its borders ", RIA Novosti quotes Yilmaz.
