The primary task of the new Turkish Parliament is adoption of a new constitution, new speaker of the parliament Ismet Yilmaz said.
Turkish opposition has always opposed such a proposal, believing that a new constitution will lead to a transition from a parliamentary form of government to a presidential one, Trend reports.
Earlier, the former Minister of Justice of Turkey, Bekir Bozdag, stressed the need for a new constitution. According to him, the government failed to make it more democratic, despite changes to more than 100 points.
