The Israeli city of Acre celebrated the 100th anniversary of the prominent Azerbaijani singer Rashid Behbudov.
A gala concert was organized by the International Association Israel-Azerbaijan 'AzIz' in cooperation with the municipalities of Acre and Kiryat Yam, and with the support of the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Municipality of Afula.
The event was attended by members of the Knesset, Constantine Razvozov and Oded Forer, the deputy mayors Zeev Neuman (Acre) and Adam Amilov (Kiryat Yam), and rabbis Yaniv Naftaliev and Ahikam Katz. They were granted the right to light the Hanukkah candles.
The brightest Azerbaijani pop star, Adalat Shukurov, as well as Israeli singers Sasha Avdalimov, Luba Babis, Tomer Aliyev, Monica Rabaeva and the female folk dance ensemble 'Bereket' performed at the concert.
