Irakli Shotadze’s resignation is a completely new standard, which was the main goal of the 2012 public revolution,- Ex-Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said in May 31 statement, InterPressNews reported.
“I personally know Irakli Shotadze and I believe in his professionalism and good faith. I have always believed that Irakli and his office were doing everything all offenders to be held accountable before the law. Unfortunately, the events developed so that the credibility of the investigation became doubtful for the certain part of the society. This fact was instantly followed by ultra-decent step inspired with higher political and moral responsibility. Irakli Shotadze’s resignation is a completely new standard, which was the main goal of the 2012 public revolution. I want to once again offer my condolences to the families of the victims and express my conviction that the justice will be executed without any reason," the statement reads.
