Azerbaijani gymnast, vice champion of the European Championship among juniors, Jala Piriyeva, thanked the audience for the support during today's qualification in the individual exercises with the hoop and the ball at the FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku.
"The audience here is providing unreal support! Thank them very much! If not for their support, it would not be so easy to perform!" Jala Piriyeva said to a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
According to the gymnast, there is still potential for further growth in her performances. "For the first day I performed quite well, but not bold enough yet. Of course, these were only first performances, and I hope that tomorrow I will do better. But it was a good starting point," the Azerbaijani gymnast believes.
Jala Piriyeva reached the finals in individual competitions with the hoop and the ball, taking the 7th place (34.75 points) after the two qualification rounds.
The FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics started in Baku today. Among the participants are 26 athletes and nine teams from 17 countries.
