The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has done an amazing job organizing the World Championship, Austrian gymnast Julia Meder said in an interview with the Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent after her performance in the qualifying exercises with a ribbon at the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.
"The competitions are organized at the highest level. All gymnasts feel comfortable, we have everything we need. The arena is very beautiful, the logistics are good, everything is nearby, the hotel is excellent. The AGF did an amazing job," she said.
“This is my first time in Baku and I am amazed at how modern, beautiful and clean the city is. I would love to come here again,” Julia Meder admitted.
This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”.
