Yesterday, a jury in the North Caucasus District Military Court acquitted Chechen resident Rasambek Bekmurzaev, who was accused of killing three soldiers, court spokeswoman Alena Katkalo said.
According to investigators, in October 2000, Bekmurzayev came to the car market in the city of Urus-Martan, where he killed three servicemen, one of whom was an FSB officer. He stole the weapons of those killed and escaped from the scene, Interfax reports.
