The head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Yuri Kokov, has signed a decree on a three-year postponement of conferring state awards of the republic in the fields of literature and art, science and technology.
The first state awards, which amounted to 1 million rubles each, were supposed to be awarded for the first time and issued this year.
According to the information and news portal of Kabardino-Balkaria, the new decree specifies an earlier decision on a "freeze" of premiums with a specific period – they will be awarded only starting from January 2019.
