Improvement of relations between Russia and Turkey is viewed positively by Kazakhstan, Kazakh Foreign Minister, Erlan Idrissov, told reporters on Wednesday, TASS reports.
"Russia and Turkey are important strategic partners for Kazakhstan. We are enthusiastic about the improvement of relations between Russia and Turkey," Idrissov said commenting on the results of the talks between the Russian and Turkish leaders in St. Petersburg.
The minister noted that a thaw in relations between Moscow and Ankara "has been observed since Erdogan sent a letter to Vladimir Putin." "They had a telephone conversation, the two countries' foreign ministers met, so the meeting in St. Petersburg was a step in the right direction, and we welcome such scenario," he said.
