Kazakhstan ratifies road transport agreement with SCO

The Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan has ratified the agreement on the international road transport between SCO member states.

The agreement stipulates better coordination to develop transportation and simplify shipment documentation procedures.

In accordance with the agreement, the sides offer carriers the right to conduct international road transportation on their territory in vehicles registered in one of the SCO member states. The foreign vehicles would have to follow special routes and go through checkpoints on the state borders on the basis of relevant permits.
