Humanitarian aid has arrived in Bishkek from Kazakhstan on May 18, the Kazakh Embassy said.
The ceremony of handover of the first consignment of aid - around 4,500 tons of wheat flour - was held in presence of Ambassador of Kazakhstan Rapil Joshybaev and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Azamat Mukashev.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan said President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev made the decision to provide humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of 10,000 tons of flour, AKIpress reported.
In May 2020, Kazakhstan sent 5 tons of flour to Kyrgyzstan. In November 2020, Kazakhstan handed over 400 life saving ventilators and 2 million medical masks.
