A procedure for obtaining electronic visas for foreigners was introduced in Kazakhstan from January 1, 2019.
The visa is issued on the basis of the current invitation of the Kazakh side, issued in the migration service of the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Foreigners can enter and leave the country using a valid e-visa only at checkpoints at the international airports of Astana and Almaty.
Citizens of 117 states are able to use tourist electronic visas, and citizens of 23 countries - business and medical visas.
The electronic visa is valid only for the recipient of the visa and does not apply to accompanying persons, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
