After the modernization of three Kazakh refineries the refining volume in Kazakhstan will increase to 17.5 million tons by 2019, the country will be fully provided with its own oil products, the Kazakh Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said.
The minister noted that as a result of these measures, the production of light oil products - gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel - will increase.
"We expect the full provision of the country's needs with domestic oil products," Bozumbayev said, stressing that it will allow to control prices on the domestic oil market, RIA Novosti reported.
