Khabib Nurmagomedov named sport star of 2020

The All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center has published the rating of Russia's top 5 athletes of the year 2020.

The rating was topped by UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who received 10% of the votes in the poll.

The striker for FC Zenit, captain of the Russian national football team Artem Dzyuba (8%) came second. Tennis player Daniil Medvedev, hockey player Alexander Ovechkin and fur-skater Alina Zagitova have 2% each.

Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his U.F.C. lightweight title this year by defeating Justin Gaethje.
