The newly crowned undisputed UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was swarmed by a legion of his fans as he touched down at Uytash Airport in Makhachkala in his native Dagestan on April 9.
Nurmagomedov is just two days removed from defeating Al Iaquinta to earn himself a world title in the main event of UFC 223, which took place in Brooklyn.
With the win Saturday, Nurmagomedov improved to 10-0 in the UFC and 26-0 overall in his pro MMA career, MA Fighting reported.
