An enemy plot seeking to sow discord between Tehran and Baghdad will fail, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said.
"Iran and Iraq are two nations whose hearts & souls are tied together through faith in God, love for Imam Hussein and the progeny of the Prophet. This bond will grow stronger day by day," Ayatollah Khamenei wrote on his official Twitter account.
According to him, "enemies seek to sow discord but they’ve failed and their conspiracy won’t be effective," PressTV reported.
On October 1, protesters in Iraq took to the streets to protest the government. Among their demands were reducing unemployment, providing better services and ending corruption.
