Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has agreed to pardon or reduce the sentences of 669 convicts on the occasion of a religious holiday (Mid-Shaban).
The supreme leader signed a relevant decree. Iran's Constitution allows the Supreme Leader to pardon or reduce the sentences of convicts upon the recommendation of the judiciary chief.
Ayatollah Khamenei has agreed with the proposal of the head of judiciary, Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani on amnesty, Trend reports.
