Klepach: dollar may cost 63-65 rubles in 2017-2018

If we can reach the level of $50-55 per barrel, the US dollar will drop to 63-65 rubles in 2017-2018, the deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank, Andrei Klepach, said at the 9th Winter Grain Conference.

"There is a forecast for the strengthening of the ruble to the level of 63-65 rubles per dollar in 2017-2018 in the case of dynamics in oil prices at $50-55 per barrel. Vnesheconombank assumes that the price of oil will grow in late February - early March, but, nevertheless, the average price for this year is $35 per barrel, in the best case - $40," TASS cited him as saying.

At the same time, the main forecast is based on an average oil price of $35. According to the forecast, at the end of 2016 the rate should be about about 72 rubles per dollar.
