The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, Franz Klintsevich, described the cutting of the electricity supply to Crimea as a terrorist attack.
"It's no secret that the Ukrainian nationalists will not be limited to a food blockade of Crimea, but that they will try to supplement it with an energy blockade. In fact, they have repeatedly stated this. The bombings of the power transmission pylons in the Kherson region, not far from the Crimean border, virtually cut off the electricity supply to the entire peninsula. This is an act of terrorism," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
