Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the visit of Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Yerevan.
He stressed that the Russian Federation would welcome steps to normalize the situation between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“Everything that is not in words, but in deeds, and not loudly, not populist, but in reality quietly and in a businesslike way, can contribute to the normalization of relations and stabilization of the situation on the border, can be welcomed,” TASS quotes the Kremlin spokesman as saying.
He added that only over time it will become clear whether the high-profile actions and statements made by Pelosi during a trip to Armenia will contribute to normalization.
