The State Kremlin Palace has hosted a concert dedicated to the 245th anniversary of the voluntary entry of Ingushetia into the Russian state. The event was attended by the head of the republic, Yunus-bek Yevkurov.
The audience saw performances of Khava Yandieva, the State Folk Dance Ensemble 'Ingushetia', the children's ensemble 'Liyg', Nadezhda Babkina and the ensemble "Russian Song", Lev Leshchenko, Tamara Yandieva, Nyusha, Zara, Sergei Volchkov, Ali Dimaev, Ragda Khaniyeva and the Children's Music Theater 'Domisolka', Lema Nalgieva, the Turetsky Choir Art Group, the 'City of the Sun' group, Alaudin Esmurziev, Aina Getagazova, the State Academic Choreographic Ensemble 'Berezka',and the children's dance ensemble 'Targim'.
The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, told Vestnik Kavkaza that the event being celebrated was decisive in the history of the Ingush people.
Yevkurov also said that authorities of the region are going to make every effort to further develop Ingushetia and further integrate it into Russian society. In addition, he shared his impressions of the exhibition of books on local history, an art of Ingush artists and traditional crafts, which opened in the Kremlin Palace. "I like the exhibition. The skills and creativity of our artists is growing every year, so it is a wonderful exhibition," Yevkurov said.
The chairman of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia, Mukharbek Didigok, said that this event is a holiday not only for Ingushetia, but also for the whole North Caucasus.
"It's not just our holiday: there are a lot of visitors from the North Caucasus republics, regions. Today, the Republic of Ingushetia makes some progress in socio-economic development," he stressed.
A member of the Russian Public Chamber, the head of the Federal Project ‘Sober Russia’, Sultan Hamzaev spoke about the importance of the exhibition of Ingush culture for social welfare in Russia.
"This exhibition characterized a deep culture. And the date that we celebrate today is very serious. It shows how close and open the relations between the Ingush people and Russia are," he said. Hamzaev said that the exhibition indicates that the choice of the Ingush people in favor of Russia was conscious, as they maintained ties with other nations, but in the end they joined the Russian Empire.
"And I wish our brothers success and luck in all those social and other issues on which they work today," Sultan Hamzaev said.
People's Artist of Russia Lev Leshchenko said that this holiday is important in this period of political instability in the world. "This is a great event in the life of the Ingush people. And these memorable dates are very necessary today, when we must unite around our great Russia. And I hope that we will live up to the 250th anniversary to celebrate," the singer said.
The singer Zara stressed the cultural significance of the holiday and expressed admiration for Ingush culture. "I have great respect and love for the Ingush culture and music. I admire the beauty and chasteness of Ingush girls. I wish more of these multinational concerts, it shows the strength of Russia," the singer said.
