Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has met with representatives of the Council on Crisis Management and National Security yesterday evening, he was briefed about the state of affairs in western Georgia, which has been suffering heavy snowfall for the last five days.
The head of the department for relations with the regions and local governments, Giorgi Amashukeli, will visit the disaster area to review the situation on behalf of the Prime Minister.
Currently in the region there are already representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, as well as other departments, Sputnik Georgia reports.
