Kyrgyz parliament of 6th convocation starts work

The deputies of the Kyrgyz parliament of the 6th convocation started its first session today.

At the beginning of the first session 120 deputies have taken the oath and received the relevant certificates,  the press service of the Parliament said. The meeting is held by the oldest MP, a representative of the Social Democratic Party, Anvar Artykov.

According to the results of the elections held on October 4th , the political parties gained the following number of seats in Parliament: the Social Democratic Party – 38 seats, Republic-Ata-Jurt – 28 seats, Kyrgyzstan – 18 seats, Onuguu (Progress) – 13 seats, Bir-Bol – 12 seats, Ata-Meken – 11 seats.

None of the parties received more than half of the votes, so they have to create the ruling coalition to nominate the prime minister, to form the government, TASS reports.
