Large fire engulfs factory near Istanbul

On Tuesday, June 18, a fire broke out at a factory producing car parts in a suburb of Istanbul, Turkish media report.

The facility is located in an industrial zone in Tuzla.

According to preliminary information, at least 56 fire brigades and more than 160 fire service personnel are involved in the fire extinguishing effort.

The Istanbul provincial governor's office said that no one was injured as a result of the incident.

"The fire is being extinguished. The necessary measures are being taken to prevent the fire from spreading to the forest area. According to preliminary data, there are no deaths or injuries as a result of the fire",

 the Governor's Office said.
