The EU has picked up a 'sanctions reflex', which wasn't obvious earlier in comparison with the US, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after talks with his Italian counterpart Paolo Gentiloni.
"The sanctions reflex has long been observed in actions of our American colleagues. I have told John Kerry many times that there is some fatigue, probably from classical diplomacy or Washington's loss of taste in diplomacy as a means of achieving compromises. If anything is wrong somewhere, sanctions are immediately used,'' Tass cites him as saying.
