Lavrov: London needs permission to launch airstrike on Daish

It is necessary for London to receive permission in order to carry out an air operation against the terrorists in Syria. It is based on the UN Security Council resolutions on fighting the terrorist group Daesh. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Belgrade.

"I've heard that British Prime Minister David Cameron said that resolution 2249, adopted unanimously after the attacks in Paris, gives the right to carry out British strikes on Syrian territory,'' he said.

Lavrov drew attention to the fact that the Security Council means the need to participate in the fight against Daesh on the basis of international law, moreover on the basis of the UN Charter, as well as coordinate their decision with all participants, who fight against terrorists.

Thus, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the coalition against terrorism in Syria must be based on international law."
