Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will hold talks only in Washington and will not hold another meeting in Alaska, the US State Department said.
Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, David Balton, stressed that there will be one meeting in Washington, when they will be together just the two of them. "They will be together, but joined by the other foreign ministers, for several events here in Fairbanks," he said.
Lavrov will arrive in the US to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Arctic Council in Fairbanks (Alaska).
