The choice of the format for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should have been made by Azerbaijan and Armenia; this explains the composition of the participants in the trilateral statement and the fact that no attention was paid to the peace plan proposed by Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the Iranian State TV and Radio.
He urged not to focus on thinking about who and how did or did not manage to help resolve the conflict. "Now it is important to think about how to complete all the agreements reached and turn the confrontation region into a region of coexistence, good-neighborliness and cooperation," RIA Novosti quotes the diplomat as saying.
