Lavrov: talks in Vienna were difficult but useful

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described today's Vienna talks with his counterparts from the United States, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, John Kerry, Feridun Sinirlioglu and Adel al-Dzhubeyr, devoted to the Syrian issue, as difficult, but useful.

"We had a difficult, but very useful meeting with the participation of the US Secretary of State, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia and Turkey. We discussed the situation in Syria, the need to find a way out of the current crisis," - RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

"We have common goals - to stop the war, to fight against terrorists, who threaten to seize this country, more effectively and to promote the political process, which had been agreed at the Geneva communique, more effectively and more actively," - Lavrov noted.
