Today, the national artist of Kabardino-Balkaria, the legendary dancer of the Kabardinka ensemble, Kanshao Sottaev, passed away, the press service of the Nalchik administration reported.
"Sottaev was a dashing, harmonious Dzhigit, who flew to the stage from the top of the white mountain, with ease of movement and temperament, forcing the audience to hold their breath ...", Kaisyn Kuliev said about the famous countryman.
Sottaev was born in the village of Lashkuta of the Elbrus district. He danced in the Song and Dance Ensemble (later Kabardinka).
