Lightning strikes plane flying from Samara to Yerevan

An Aeroflot plane flying from Samara to Yerevan was struck by lightning. This was stated in a message posted on the Aviaincident Telegram channel.

The incident occurred on Sunday, June 9.

According to preliminary information, the airplane received a discharge of atmospheric electricity after takeoff.

The lightning strike did not affect the operation of the plane. The pilots decided not to make an emergency landing and continued flying to their destination. The landing was successful, and none of the passengers or crew members on board were injured.
