Deputy Economic Development Minister of Russia, Alexei Likhachev, on the results of his visit to Bangkok, has stated that Russia will soon initiate the issue of establishment of a free trade zone Thailand-EEU.
"The scheme of work will be approximately the same as it was during signing of a similar agreement with Vietnam," Likhachev said after a series of negotiations with Thai partners.
According to Likhachev, the issue of Thailand's joining to free trade zone must be discussed with all members of the EEU, but Russia will support the Thai side in making final decisions, RIA Novosti reported.
