Baku has a great atmosphere for honest competitions, US gymnast Lili Mizuno said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after the qualification round with hoop and ball routines.
"I am very pleased with my performance. Everything was very well for the first day, I gained valuable experience thanks to Baku's excellent atmosphere for the competitions. There was a good start of the tournament today," she said.
"It's my first time in Baku, this city is very beautiful, and the arena is even better. There are excellent carpets here, this is the first time when I perform at a place adapted to the needs of gymnasts so well," Lili Mizuno admitted.
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries are participating in the tournament. Depending on the results of the qualification, the winners of all-around and the participants of the finals in individual apparatus in both types of programs will be determined. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
